Do you have a question about the breakfast? Would you like to rent a boat? Want to do a wine tour? Information about where to park? These and other questions are answered down below. Click on the question to see the answer.
Of course we can!! We have lots of contacts in the area, so let us know what you are into. There will also be a document in the studio full of tips about where to eat, where to go and what to do.
No, both studios are independent with their own entrance.
Since the studios are independent, we decided not to bother you with a ‘breakfast service’, but to have small breakfast snacks in the studio. That way, you can take whatever you want, whenever you want. There are also some drinks in the fridge. The breakfast is simple because we know from experience that most of our guests do not eat much in the morning (like the Italians) because they had a big, late dinner the night before ánd are heaving a big lunch later that afternoon. Do you crave bread, eggs and cheese after all? We love to visit (and thereby support) the small local stores close to the studio. We will show you where!
Yes, both of our studios have windows that can open. They might be smaller and on a higher level than you might be used to. That’s because the summers get pretty hot here and big windows would make the studios too warm. Like almost all houses on the ground floor in Puglia (have a look around when you are here!), the studios therefore have high ceilings, windows that are not too big and of course air-conditioning!
Check-in is from 14.00 and checkout until 11.00. Let us know around what time you would like to arrive and we will do our best to make the studio ready for you also before 14.00. We can always store your luggage.
We are not a hotel and do not have a reception. The studio’s are independent with their own front door and we live close by (see the next question), but can’t see it if someone is waiting in front of the door. If you call us or send us a message about half an hour before you are in the centre, we can walk to the studio and welcome you there. Thank you!
We do not live in the same building, but very very close. Within 1 minute we can be there when you have a problem, need anything or have questions. Do not hesitate to contact us during your stay! The studio’s have WiFi so you can also use WhatsApp.
We only accept payments in cash. There is a cash machine close to the studio if you need one.
We love all things special, so yes! Would you like to surprise your loved one with champagne in the morning? Rose petals on the bed? Flowers? A special breakfast? A fridge full of coca cola, because… well… you just love to drink coca cola? Please let us know if you have any special requests and we will assist you in any way we can!
Of course we can, and we will do it without extra costs between 8 in the morning and 1 in the night! The station is not even a 5-minute drive from our B&B and the airport around 15 minutes. There are also (free when you show your boarding pass) busses between the airport and the centre. If you need a ride very early in the morning, we can call you a taxi (between 20 and 30 euro’s).
Problems do not exist! The breakfast is self-service, so you can take whatever you would like, pack your things and close the door behind you with the key on the table. We can also organise an early taxi for you if you do not have a car.
The public transport in Salento is ok, but that’s the best we can say about it. From Brindisi you can take
the train to Lecce (20 minutes). You can also take the train to Bari. That train stops at:
- San Vito Dei Normanni
- Carovigno
- Ostuni
- Cisternino
- Fasano
- Monopoli
- Polignano a Mare
- Mola di Bari
- Bari Torre a Mare
- Marconi
- Bari Centrale
With another company you can go to Gallipoli and Alberobello. Please keep in mind that this will take you a while (the car is much much faster) From the 25th of June until the 5th of September it is also possible to use the bus service ‘Salento by bus‘. This bus leaves from Lecce. From the Brindisi station you can take the bus to the beaches of Brindisi. But please be aware: this bus is often very busy and there is a timetable, but it can happen that you have to wait for a while. If you can afford it, hire a car! Whatever you decide, we are happy to help you planning your trip!
We definitely recommend hiring a car to make the most out of your holiday in Salento. This way, you can tour around the coast and it will also be easier to visit the cities and little villages. The cities in Salento are not that big, so you can visit them in about half a day. Having a car gives you the flexibility to head to another city or a beach closeby. We also love having dinner in smaller, more authentic places. Without a car, those places are impossible to visit. Salento is very flat and the roads are good and easy. In Brindisi you can park for free close to the studio (see next question). Brindisi is located in the middle of Salento which makes it the perfect place to stay. Within a maximum of one hour drive you are wherever you want to go (Gallipoli for example, or Otranto). We recommend having a look at Sunny Cars when searching for a car. This is a website that finds the best deals and gives you all-inclusive (insurance, etc.) prices, to make sure you know exactly what you are going to pay. Choose a small car if you are just with 2. It is easier to park and usually you will get whatever they have anyway… We already were given a cabrio for the price of a Panda, twice! Always book your car online, it is much cheaper than booking it here at the desk.
Yes you can! The best place is
Piazza Santa Teresa, around 50 meters from the studio. We will show exactly where, some places are paid, some are free.
