A Dutchy and an Italian (about us)
"I met him because I booked The Green Studio back in 2011 when I was visiting Brindisi with a friend."
This was just what we wanted. It was a great base for us to explore the area. All just a few minutes walk from the sea front, great bars and restaurants, the high street etc. The owners really look after you. They are very accommodating and helpful. They gave us lots of local information and we did quite a lot of what they suggested. The apartment is cool and clean. It is well stocked with plenty of snacks and drinks. There was also free wifi access. You walk in straight from the street (but our apartment was private as it was in a dead end street) and I think this makes it feel more like you're fitting in with the locals. As all the restaurants were so close, it gave you a taste of the lifestyle out there. If you continue down the the street and head to the high street, you will get your bearings quite quickly. This leads to the sea front and the railway station but there is a quicker way to the seafront which will be explained. I would stay there again. It was definitely better than a hotel.
We wanted a studio apartment to use as a base to explore Brindisi & Puglia. Our studio was perfectly located close to the centre of Brindisi, about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station and a short drive from the airport. We stayed for 7 nights and the studio suited our needs, we made day trips to Lecce and Taranto by train and the kitchen facilities were adequate for pasta lunches when we were exploring Brindisi. The rooms were furnished and felt like a home not a bland hotel. The owners were super friendly; they picked us up and dropped us off at the airport; they were able to recommend excellent restaurants and things to do in Brindisi and beyond, and also attentive in ensuring we had a great trip. Thanks Remo and Carlijn!
